Dr Amanda Dunn

BVsc (Hons)

Dr Amanda hails from Deniliquin originally and studied Veterinary Science at Sydney University, graduating in 1997. She joined our practice in April 2008.

Loving surgery, you will often find her in our surgery rooms operating, but her other love interest is geriatric pets so if your puss or pooch is getting old and you are a little concerned, why not book in a check up with Dr Amanda. Knowing how special the human-pet bond can be, she has made it her mission to help you give extra care to our older friends and also advise you in moments of grief and loss.

Even though she is kept very busy by her three daughters, Dr Amanda has many pets who have all been rescued along the way of being a veterinarian, there is Bubbles the Manx cat, Ebony the Labrador Kelpie cross, Evelin the Maltese cross, Softie the rabbit, Badger her Quarterhorse and little Dolly the pony, with whom Dr Amanda grew up with. She often says: I grew up but Dolly the pony didn't.

Dr Renee Dickenson

BVsc MACVS (Feline Medicine)

Dr. Renee Dickenson has been a practicing Veterinarian on the Border for many years and joined our centre in March 2007.

Renee was raised on a farm near Yackandandah Victoria, and her passion for animals originated from living on the land. Her interests were realized young as she collected her own little farm of animals ranging from horses, to guinea pigs, cats and ferrets.

In 1996, Renee graduated from the Melbourne University with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science. She practiced as a full time mixed practice veterinarian in Albury for seven years, before making the decision to focus on feline medicine.

In 2003 Dr. Renee was admitted as a Member of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists by examination in Medicine of Cats.

The accreditation makes Dr. Dickenson the most qualified cat practitioner on the Border. Naturally, her focus is on health issues of the cat community, but Renee also has a dedicated interest in skin diseases of dogs and husbandry and management of pocket pets.

Dr Renee has four children, Jye, Georgia and twins Max and Nate.
