Since she’s joined us she has had two children, Lachlan and Hannah and after a maternity break each time, she has continued on a full time basis. As our head nurse, she is responsible for coordinating all our juniors and also manages to take part in many other aspects of business management.
Nadine Ballentine
Diploma of Veterinary Nursing & Diploma of Animal Technology
Nadine has been vet nursing since 1999 and lives on a farm in Brocklesby with her hubby Stuart and their two children Michala and Darcy.
She joined Petfocus Vetcare in 2008 and her special interests lie in veterinary rehabilitation and she is one of our senior hydrotherapy technicians. She is also heavily involved in the surgical area and takes part in training up our trainee nurses in the surgical field.
Nadine has lots of animals, Lexus the cat, Douglas the Border collie, Kellie the Fox Terrier, three Standard geese and three snails!
Courtney Dodds
Senior Veterinary Nurse, Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.
Courtney was born in Albury and lived in Adaminaby before moving to Canberra for some years where she trained to become a senior veterinary nurse before returning to her home town of Albury. Courtney joined us in January 2012 and has a special interest in veterinary surgery.
Courtney’s hobbies include swimming, horse riding, keeping in touch with friends via Facebook and caring for her little boy Jack. She has a soft spot for adopting and re-

Ellie joined us in October 2015 after moving from Wagga Wagga to the Border with her partner and she has recently expanded her family with the addition of a Jack Russell puppy named Ned.
Ellie brings great experience to the team and has a keen interest in surgery and wound management.
Ellie has her Certificate 4 in Veterinary Nursing and is interested in undertaking her Diploma in the future.
In her spare time, Ellie enjoys food and wine, her new first home and spending time with Ned.
