Welcome to our second operating theatre.
This is our second sterile operating theatre where operations are performed. This room is a designated a low traffic area, and our staff are only able to enter it with special hair nets.
With every procedure we have a minimum of one nurse who monitors the anaesthetic at all times. This is charted on a special monitoring graph.
We have highly specialised monitoring equipment, to keep our patients well and safe at all times. This allows us to know what the current oxygenation in the blood is, the heart and pulse rate and also the respiratory rate.
The anaesthetic nurse assistant also monitors other vital signs at all times, which helps ensure a smooth and safe anaesthetic for your patient.
For high risk patients and long procedures we also encourage the use of intravenous
fluids throughout surgery. A pre-
